About Mary Kay

Mary Kay Cook is an Emmy® award-winning producer, with credits spanning multiple mediums, including features, tv, documentaries, short films, web series, and music videos. Her work has been featured at international film festivals, in theaters, on television, and online.

As a production professional, she has 10+ years experience producing creative content. Crafting hundreds of commercials and branded content spots for a wide variety of clients, from local Chicago businesses to global Fortune 500 companies, she has brought them all in on time & on budget.

Mary Kay graduated with honors from The Theatre School, DePaul University. That laid a strong foundation for her work as a producer: crafting a strong story arc, while getting to the heart of communicating the emotional truth.

In addition to producing, she has recently begun writing and directing as well.

Active in the creative community, Mary Kay frequently contributes to industry panels and publications. She served as the President of the Midwest Film Festival Advisory Council for 15 years, and is a member of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

Her passions include: traveling the world, human & animal rights, and a daily yoga & meditation practice.
